Thanks to the power of Stockholm Syndrome, the line between what I want to have and what I should have has gotten blurrier one bland salad at a time. Now I can have my cake and eat it too! Metaphorically. But lord I wish it wasn’t.

Compromise. Put the salad toppings on a breaded chicken burger. Now it’s basically a giant nugget and a salad between two pieces of bread. That’s pretty healthy.
The problem, Malecus, is that one of the healthiest things about eating a green salad is that you’re eating *that* INSTEAD of the other thing, whatever it is… burgers, ice cream, cookies, pizza, cake, etc. If you PUT THEM TOGETHER, they don’t ADD, they CANCEL. Then you get acid reflux from over-eating and your body still has to deal with the consequences of all the crap you ate that you shouldn’t have.
All I’ll say to the kiddos is this: enjoy this time in your life when you can get away with abusing your body without, largely, any consequences (at least in the short term,) because when you get older, it won’t TOLERATE it anymore, and that’s when the fun begins, (or ends, depending upon your point of view and definition of fun).
There’s no such thing as negative nutrients, so there’s no way that adding lettuce and tomato to a burger somehow undoes their nutritional value. Chicken is healthy protein, and the breading is effectively a little bit more carbs, which is also healthy. Nobody’s said anything about eating double portions, just rearranging them into a more palatable presentation. Nobody’s mentioned anything about ice cream or cookies, and there’s no realistic way to add them to a salad that doesn’t make the whole mess more disgusting than the solitary greens.
You’re using a straw man fallacy to argue against something nobody said.
I like to think Joey chooses wisely in the future, since he ends up permanently beach body ready.
Unfortunately everything you eat is bad for you so why bother
