Cad the Mad, Carmen is EVERYONE’S favorite child! Joey’s Mom’s, Katherine’s, Joey’s, probably Kevin’s, if he had one, mine, of course, and I suspect, Cuddlep00p’s, too.
Joey, read Ury and Fisher’s “Getting to Yes,” and negotiate with your mother directly yourself next time, and you won’t have to worry about your attorney betraying you. You’ll also find the advice contained therein helpful in life in general in many situations. Or you could just use your magic “I know I’m a webcomic character” powers… either way.

I’m going to side with Carmen here and assume (until proven otherwise) that Joey’s Mom is a lawyer. Not the high-powered type that helps rich billionaires flout the legal system, but one that deals with “Florida Man”-style reprobates and miscreants. So her home life helps train her for work experience and vice versa.
So I just read this comic from start to finish. Been trying to figure out ehu the kid comics are my favorite and it literally just dawned on me they remind me of the ozzy and millie comics!
