Why was she chasing her with a turkey platter? So many question, so few answers…
You’re looking at it the wrong way. Joey has used his powers for mischief, and made the cooked turkey fly after Carmen. Joey’s Mom is chasing after it because, hey, turkeys take a lot of time and effort to cook and she’s going to try to get it back on that platter. But she didn’t see whatshisname and tripped.
Dude…mind blown.
So here’s a weird experience… found this comic on Webtoon, read through it a few weeks ago, and started following along… laughed out loud a few times, (for example, I loved the “first one to cry” comic, that was so adorably cute and sweet and funny,) then learned that the part where Katherine claimed to be a time-traveler who about ’20 comics back…’ way back when she was (re)introduced, only to learn later that when I had read the early comic (actually around comic 240 in absolute terms,) where she flopped out of the box, that was about the THIRD time that she had done that… so then I found THIS site, hit the ‘<< First' button, and… OMG… there were a whole bunch of comics BEFORE the 'first' one?
OH, I see… so there's an actual continuity between those old ones and the new ones that pick up where Webtoon's version start… got it. (Someone I read commented something about restarting the universe, and NOW that makes sense.)
Anyway, long story short, just stayed up half the night and read from the very first one through to "Can Joey come out to play" and thought, "OKAY. Now I can go sleep."
Love the comic… though this bit of it, with Katherine burning her dinner and the consequences… it strikes me as a very, veyr tiny bit like what the movie "Primer" would have been like if it had been done as a web comic. It might start something… like this:
Bbbring… click. "Here's what's going to happen. I'm going to draw these, and you're going to read them… you're going to come back every Thursday and you're not going to miss or skip one for any reason. Some of this you know. I'm going to start at the top of the webpage. Adorable, yes. Funny, smart, they were these things…"
Of course, if you've never seen the indie film, "Primer," this won't make much sense to you… but it's a good movie, and you should watch it, especially if you like a well done head-scratcher of a flick that doesn't lean on special effects.
Eyy! I’m so glad you found and are enjoying the series! Thank you for binging! Your enthusiasm is contagious 8)
