Hello! I’ve been in the process of moving recently, and among other busy-ness, I had to make a call.

Push through and continue the comic as normal in sacrifice of quality, or take a break to focus on other aspects while keeping the Patreon and the like going.

And after doing this comic pretty consistently for the better part of 10 years I think I’ve built up some break-days!

Now do not worry. THE COMIC IS NOT ENDING. I love coming up with goofy scenarios with the cast and crew! If I didn’t I don’t think I would’ve kept it up this long

BUT as time goes on and ambitions grow, I found the comic takes longer and longer to do, cutting more into the work week than ever before. So whenever a change has to be made due to life getting busy, unfortunately SoggyCardboard is the first to get dialed back. Usually with a simple comic for that update, but this time I’m gonna try something different and take a step back while I focus on other things.

For example, I’ve been wanting to experiment with animation! Or work on my broken-ass website. Or make more progress with the other comic that’s been my dream project for the last 12 years. Or make shirts and stickers and prints and re-open a storefront! Make short videos, learn new techniques, new software, things that will translate to a better final product and many more!

Many things that I’ve been wanting to do for years, but locked myself into a schedule that makes that very very hard to do.

So I suppose this is less of a vacation and more of a level-up arc. I’ve been feeling inspired for a while, and it would truly be a shame to lose it to a schedule I made up myself for myself and reinforced by myself for so long.

That being said, the Patreon will be receiving content as normal! The Patreon is the backbone of my stability, and I wouldn’t be doing what I am now, learning what I am, and excited to tackle every day as I am without them.

And still feel free to swing by every other Thursday! While I’m not doing the traditional comic as I normally do for a bit, I may still have something to post on those days! I’m always making stuff
